Hi! I’m Andrea Montgomery, founder of Whitecap Administrative Services. I spent nearly 15 years building a career in professional administration roles, developing strong skills in operational support.
Then, in 2019, I became a mother and everything changed. I quickly developed a deep understanding of how difficult it can be to balance professional ambition with family life. While raising my children and trying to maintain a full-time corporate career, the constant pressure to do everything well began to affect my daily life. I found myself trying to meet the expectations of a traditional workplace while also trying to be present for my family, and the two simply didn’t coexist in a healthy way.
That experience forced me to step away from my corporate role and reimagine what work could look like. Starting my own business allowed me to build the flexibility I needed to care for my family while still pursuing meaningful work—and it showed me just how many other women are facing the same struggle. At the same time, many small businesses struggle to grow because they can’t yet afford full-time administrative staff.
Whitecap bridges that gap. Our mission is help small businesses access the administrative support they need to grow while empowering virtual assistants with flexible, work-from-home opportunities. By connecting ambitious business owners with talented virtual assistants we strengthen businesses, families, and communities.
By doing this, we are creating opportunities on both sides: empowering busy mothers to stay engaged in the workforce while helping entrepreneurs access the support they need without the cost and complexity of hiring full-time staff.
